The Snowman

On the first snowfall, a boy, Jonas, wakes up and goes searching for his mother. On the living room window, he sees a snowman with his mother's pink scarf around it. The odd thing about the snowman is that it's facing the inside of the house, instead of out on the street. With no signs of his mother in the living room, Jonas searches the house and finds out that his mother is missing.

The infamous inspector Harry Hole is set to solve the mystery behind the missing woman, along with other women who have gone missing on the very first snow fall in the past. With trivial links connecting them to each other, Hole decides that a serial killer may be responsible for the disappearances. With a letter addressed to him that would tie him down and make him a puppet in this dangerous game, Harry must try to cut himself free and solve the mystery behind it all. As more deaths and more bodies emerge, he is led deeper into the puzzling maze  that would lead him to the heart of it and finish off with a heart-stopping finale.

The Snowman is a gripping story enriched with the creepy feeling of being watched and being followed. It tugs at your childhood fears and anxieties and leave you wanting to run away, but thirsting for clarity. The events unfold bit by bit and all of a sudden turns into a fast-paced story through to the end that would leave you frozen and out of breath.
