The Redeemer

A 14-year old girl was raped in a Salvation Army camp. Twelve years later, a Salvation Army soldier was shot dead on a Christmas concert celebration.

The case is given to Harry Hole. As the investigation ensues, he discovers that the killer is not yet done with the mission and is out to finish it off. A cat-and-mouse chase commences as the killer breaks loose and is desperate enough to finish off what he's started. When a startling revelation looms on them, Harry must make a decision that would lead to his own "redemption".

The plot is thick with questions and leaves you at the edge of your seat. As the story moves on, you find sympathy for the right and wrong characters, but the answers would tumble out slowly and slow realizations would be made. The Redeemer is definitely a great composition of emotions.
