The Leopard

Traumatized from the Snowman case, Harry flees Oslo to be immersed in the chaos and release from pain that Hong Kong could bring. Not wanting to be found, he buries himself deep in the heart of Hong Kong.

Two women, drowned in their own blood, with unusual wounds, twenty-four to be exact, around the mouth, were found dead. Without any clues left behind, the police are puzzled. With the media gripping their claws
on the police, they are desperate to find a connection.

With his father dying, Harry was forced to go back to Oslo, but nevertheless not interested in the two murders. But, as a female MP was found dead, a nagging feeling tells Harry that it could be the same killer. He gets involved and the detective instinct tells him that a serial killer may be behind all these. With an uncommon rope and gravel that may be of a certain source as their only clues, Harry and his team try to catch the killer as egos clash between Crime Squad and Kripos. As more missing persons surface and more deaths uncovered, Harry gets entangled until it becomes a fight for his life, as well.

The Leopard was filled with gruesome and morbid scenes that you'd had to have a strong will in order to read on. Like a narrative of Saw, it takes you into the twisted thoughts of a killer and the limits that would push one to exhibit unusual capabilities. Quite a long read, I was getting a bit exhausted in the middle part where things were so at a loss; however, I was determined to read on and find out the motives and ways of the killer and to eventually reveal everything flat on paper, and to achieve victory as what every human being would want.
