Performance Anomalies

Cono, a young and highly experienced spy, heads to Kazakhstan on a personal mission - to rescue a friend and a former lover. Being an orphan and an independent, he chose to be a freelance agent working for a diverse collection of organizations and governments, and has made "ties" with some of them, making allegiances and friendships.

But as the mission in Kazakhstan blows out of proportion, even his accelerated nervous system failed to see the betrayal that comes along his way, making him question the ties he's made. Cono ends up risking a lot and losing a lot in return.

Performance Anomalies is packed with political issues, and these are very much applicable to our constantly-developing world. This book strips naked the secrecy behind what officials go thru and what they get into to be ahead of everyone and to get the most out of their power and position, even trampling on others' lives just to get on top and get a hold on to the "riches of the world". I'm not really the type of person who's into politics and all the bullcrap surrounding it, so I found this book a bit boring. Though for politics junkies, this is one serious book packed with serious and real issues that they would definitely enjoy. I found it hard to appreciate the book as a whole. Some details about the characters were held back, making it hard to connect with the characters and be fully absorbed in the book. It seemed too concentrated on delivering the facts and lacked emotions.
